School participatory budgeting (PB) - is a participatory budget for elementary and secondary schools. Engage pupils and students in the decision-making process on investments from the school budget. Thanks to Pébéčko, they come with their own ideas and propose projects to improve the school environment and efficiently distribute the assigned part of the budget.
We implement school PB at elementary and secondary schools.
Students play an active role and, in an entertaining manner, can in fact influence the running of their school. Great emphasis is put on implementation of the winning projects. Pupils embrace basic principles of democratic society, learn responsibility, teamwork and financial literacy, and develop their creativity.
Positive outcomes of school PBsSchool and teachers
Students learn the foundations of design thinking: search for opportunities, proposal of the best solution and presentation in front of an audience. They develop their creativity and proactivity. They gain more confidence and the ability to reason. Their interest in society-wide issues increases and they tend to engage more in public life.
Positive outcomes of school PBsPlatform D21 allows to carry out different voting. Pupils and students can easily express their opinion on common questions that require decision. Where are they going for a school trip, what will be the theme of the graduation party or who is going to represent them in the school parliament.
Show moreWith license for the platform D21, you can implement different votes for a period of one year. The application is broad. You can vote on school trips to the offer of lunches in the canteen.
“After graduating at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague, I devoted myself to teaching. Currently I am helping to raise awareness of the participation process and basic democratic principles among primary and secondary schools. I contribute to their implementation in practice through the School PBs project and other educational activities.”
